Sean Cory Cooper
Sean Cory Cooper was born in Hartford, Connecticut, the product of an affair between his mother and a married jazz pianist. He got the acting bug early, performing in a community theatre production of "David And Lisa", but he didn't seriously pursue acting until after high school. When he was 12, he, his mom and stepfather moved to South Ozone Park, Queens, NY, where he attended John Adams High School, After graduating, Sean attended Kingsborough Community College briefly before dropping out to pursue acting full time.
Sean studied acting at several schools, notably HB Studios, Weist Barron-Hill, and with several private teachers focusing on the meisner technique; But Sean believes that the best way to learn, is to do,so he immediately began working in NY theatre, where he appeared in many off-broadway productions. Sean earned his Equity card while working for "The Floating Hospital", under the TYA(Theatre for young audiences) contract, and joined Actor's Equity in 1993; He joined AFTRA soon after. As much as Sean loved New York, Hollywood beckoned; In 1994, Sean moved to Los Angeles. Since then, he's been quite fortunate. In addition to his many appearances in independent films, Sean is also in the academy-award winning film "Crash", and appeared with Jet Li and DMX in "Cradle 2 The Grave". Sean has also branched out into Voiceover work, doing Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep commercials for years, and many other commercials, both on-camera and VO; He also voiced the role of "David Weston" in the "Terminator: Salvation" video game.
On TV, Sean has appeared on "The Practice", "7 Days", and worked on the pilot episode of "The Black Donnellys". Sean does not actually appear in the pilot; he was booked and on-set, but, due to the time constraints of working with child actors, his scene was not shot(but,he was paid and received residuals). Sean is incredibly grateful for the work he's gotten thus far, and will undoubtedly get a lot more.
