Brooke Tomlinson is an award winning Australian actress, filmmaker, writer and director. The recipient of a number of accolades including Best Female Filmmaker. Born in Melbourne, Australia to her mother Michelle, a school teacher and her father Ross, a business owner and fireman. On her father's side, Brooke is of English descent while on her mother's side, she has Italian, Irish and Scottish ancestry. She places third in a family of four siblings with two older sisters and one younger brother. Growing up in a sporty family, Brooke spent her weekends playing netball and volleyball only to discover her passion and drive for the performing arts in her early teenage years. A welcoming and exciting change that allowed Brooke to really discover her true self as a performer. Choosing a path that was a completely different direction to her siblings and past generation family members. She began to pursue her acting and performing. Dedicating her time to film and acting studies, training under some of Australia's most well known industry names which would eventually lead to her landing her first ever acting audition. In 2005, Brooke made her screen debut as Vicky in Hating Alison Ashley starring alongside Delta Goodrem. She has gone on to appear in a number of Australian and U.S. features and television series including AMC's Preacher. She received Best Supporting Actress for her role as Ciaran in Pandora Productions Alina at The IndieFEST Awards in California, 2017. In 2021, Brooke completed her first ever self written and directed film Intuition. She received Best Female Filmmaker at The New Jersey Film Awards, as well as nominations for Best Actress and Best Editing for her works. Brooke's inspiration behind Intuition is aimed at helping to raise awareness of the continuing and appalling global epidemic of violence against women. Brooke is a qualified singer and singing teacher and for many years has been performing at numerous locations around Australia, including a permanent residency at Crown Casino, Melbourne. With her knowledge and understanding of the voice, she is able to adapt her vocal abilities to suit many musical genres. Her voice has even appeared in a number of films she has been involved in.
