Esteban Balbi was born in Mendoza, Argentina with mixed Italian, English and Spanish roots. As a child, he fell in love with the performing arts and the ability to step into the role of others. At 23, he began taking part in various acting workshops with teachers that included Ernesto Suárez, Flavia Reta, and Alicia Gilbert. In 2008 Balbi moved to Spain to pursue a degree in Film, VIdeo and TV Direction and Production from Universidad Politécnica de Catalunia as well as a degree in Film and Cinema Acting at UACE Barcelona. He continued his education and received a masters degree in the Stanislavsky acting method at Minsk Academy of Arts in Belarus and a second masters from the First Team Foundation in Madrid. He has performed in numerous plays (Los Limacalabaza, Maribel y la extraña familia, Error 404, Un cine arde y diez personas arden, Athan y el camino a la inmortalidad, etc.), short films (Mivida, Tenemos Visita, Second, Tiempo, Un regalo para mí, etc.), TV series (La que se avecina, Robles y Olmos, Próxima Estación) and feature films (Solos en la Oscuridad, Una función para olvidar, San Felices, Vino para robar). With a diverse acting career in both Europe and America, Balbi's work has received positive reviews from the media, the public and festival jurors alike.
