Born to a railroad worker father and a teacher mother, Yannick Choirat studied theater at Vaugelas High School in Chambéry, where he received a baccalaureate in the A3 department. Later, he moved to Paris, where he studied at the Sorbonne Nouvelle Institute. He also took theater lessons from Véra Gregh - Tania Balachova. He then worked for 5 years under the direction of Bernard Grosjean at a Theater-Forum company (interactive social awareness theater), thus scanning French high schools, prisons, dormitories for young workers and hospitals In the series titled Victor Hugo, starring in 2018: Victor Hugo, Enemy, Jean-Marc Moutout France 2 (4 × 52 min) and broadcast directed by the Council of State. Regarding his interpretation, he reminds the technique of preparing for an actor: a lot of reading and documentation about the character, a physical transformation (weight gain and hair growth) 3.
