Yannick Vincent de Waal was born in 1994 near Amsterdam (the Netherlands) to screenwriter Simon de Waal and remedial teacher Mieke de Waal-Migchelsen. Yannick made his movie debut at the age of 12 in the family film 'Kapitein Rob en het Geheim van Professor Lupardi'. He studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York and is best known for his leading role in the film 'Confetti Harvest' (Berlin Film Festival selection 2015). Yannick was featured in Peter Kosminsky's 4-part series 'The State' which was nominated for a BAFTA in the category 'Best Mini-series'.
