AJ Jones
AJ Jones is a director, writer, and actor who grew up in Central Florida. As a former baseball player, AJ took an interest in performing at Lake Sumter Community College in Leesburg, FL while learning how to sword fight for the school's Theatre Arts Society. AJ first pursued his career in acting in Orlando, FL, where he studied under Yvonne Suhor at Art's Sake Studio. He then moved to Los Angeles and continued his studies at Sanford Meisner's Playhouse West, and the Elizabeth Mestnik Acting Studio. AJ could be seen on stage all over the Los Angeles intimate theatre scene, as well as on stage in New York City and San Diego, and in numerous short and independent films.
AJ relocated to Atlanta to further his pursuit in writing and directing. He met his wife and producing partner Gillie Jones, and the two of them founded Renegade Creative, a production company dedicated to telling new, cinematic stories. Their first film, The Curse of La Patasola, became AJ's feature directorial debut, and was released on VOD and select theaters nationwide on January 14, 2022.
