Aaryaan Saxena
Aaryaan Saxena is an Indian film director and screenwriter, known for his work in movies like Mickey Virus (2013), Desi Kattey (2014), Saavi: A Bonded Bride (2015), Dangerous Facebook (2015), Half Truth: An Absolute Lie (2017), Chameli (2018), Mukti (2018) and Fauji Calling (Filming).
After arriving in Mumbai in November 1998, he experienced initial success with stage-shows. For the next few years, he continued doing stage shows in India and abroad, but could not get his break in playback singing. In the meanwhile, he got a writing assignment of a screenplay for which he was praised by the director. This minor success in writing was followed by many more projects which made Aaryaan change his focus from becoming a playback singer to becoming a screenwriter. Aaryaan's first big break came in the form of Mickey Virus (2013), starring Manish Paul, Elli Avram. Following the success of Mickey Virus, Aaryaan wrote the script of Desi Kattey (2014) starring Sunil Shetty, Jay Bhanushali, Ashutosh Rana, Tia Bajpai, Sasha Agha Khan and Akhil Kapur. Desi Kattey didn't do well at the box-office, but the script was well received among st the critics. In 2015, Aaryaan penned down the screenplay and dialogue for Saavi- A bonded bride that was helm ed by national award winning director Rajeev Kumar. The film was screened at 2015 International Film Festival of South Asia (IFFSA) and also at Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). He has also written the screenplay and dialogues for 'Dangerous Facebook' (2015) an erotic thriller starring Mugdha Godse, Rahul Dev and Ruslaan Mumtaz. In 2017, Aaryaan made his directorial debut with his first short film Half Truth: An Absolute Lie, followed by another short film in 2018 titled Mukti which was a mystery thriller short film written and directed by Aaryaan himself. Mukti officially got selected and screened at 2018 Cannes Film Festival. His next film Chameli which is a web original is under post production. Chameli stars Sherlyn Chopra, Avinash Dwivedi, Brijendra Kala, Sheetal Kale. Later, Aaryaan worked with Dhoom director Sanjay Gadhvi on a sport drama and have written a love story for Bombay Talkies.
