Adam Lau
According to his parents, Adam's acting journey started at the dinner table at the age of 5. After growing up overseas, he attended a Performing Arts High School, and then majored in Musical Theatre in College at James Madison University. Then, "things really got interesting."
Within a week from graduating, Adam packed his bags, and headed to Portland, Oregon. During his small two year stint, he experienced acting in his first feature film. Additionally, he received a review for a role in a local theater production that said "perhaps a comedic acting genius." That hubris alone paved the way to make the big move to Los Angeles!
Since then, "it's been 8 years of eating humble pie, but with a great gratitude of experience." In addition to Actor's Comedy Studio, Adam has trained with the Upright Citizen's Brigade, Judy Kain's commercial class, Voice Masters, and many others. He held company with the Creating Arts Center, where the Aces of Improv were born, and he taught/performed improv with for many years. These connections grew great while performing at Fringe Festivals, and gathering a roster of cast/crew that has led to making a number of self-made productions (which he describes as "ultra ultra ultra low budget...you know what I mean").
Even during the pandemic he couldn't keep still, and became an entertainment streamer on the Twitch platform for online enjoyment. Once the lockdown veil was drawn, it was back to the real world, and Adam made his way as a producer during the remainder of 2022.
This year, you can catch a couple of shows he has produced: a short film that is a modern spin on an old story, called "Jack," and a romantic comedy about dating someone with D.I.D., called "My Favorite Girlfriend." Inhibiting his musical passion, he released a music video that depicts hilarious, yet somewhat crude, quotes from an online streamer, called "Betta's Lament," which can be found on YouTube. He has several features, shorts, pilots, and other ideas that are looking to go into production for the upcoming year, so be on the lookout!
Adam is currently looking for representation, particularly in voice over, and looks forward to making funny voices, movies, and laughs for everyone for years to come!
