Adele K. Thomas
Adele K. Thomas is a Melbourne based animation production designer, art director and children's book illustrator. She was born in England in 1981 and moved to the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia in 1989.
After trying to break into acting after leaving high school, Adele decided to change focus and studied traditional animation and production design at Griffith Film school in Brisbane.
Her graduate film 'Vial of Youth' won best animated short film at the 2006 Pacific Film and Television Filmmakers Awards and has since then worked on animation productions. Roles include: co-director, production designer and Snr Art director for Shopkins : Wild Style, art director for Shopkins: World Vacation, character designer on The Day My Butt Went Psycho, lead designer on Pacific Heat and she created and produced Irazu, an animated pilot for Cartoon Network Asia Pacific.
Adele is also a production design lecturer at JMC Academy in Melbourne, and in 2020 she launched her own business, Sneaker Fox Productions.
She continued to dabble in live action productions, credited as Adele Thomas. Her book work includes Pearl The Magical Unicorn for Scholastic Australia, Mermaid Holidays for Penguin Books and Animals Eat Their Veggies Too!
