Ben Parker
Ben is a British film director and screenwriter based in London, England. His debut feature, The Chamber, was a 'Suspenseful four-hander' (Sight & Sound) starring Force Majeure's Johannes Kuhnke, as the pilot of a four-man submarine trying to retrieve a US military drone from the seabed off the coast of North Korea. The film received a UK theatrical release from Studiocanal in 2017 and US release from Cinedigm and played the Glasgow International Film festival, Brussels BIFFF and Frightfest (among others) and streamed on Amazon Prime.
After studying film in Leeds, Ben then made a career in film advertising, designing artwork for UK film campaigns. In 2011, his successful short film Shifter (described by Screen Daily UK as 'Superbly crafted with a killer twist') played Austin's Fantastic Fest and accompanied Ben Wheatley's film Kill List at FrightFest and in select London sites on release.
Since his first feature, Ben has had one of his earlier scripts adapted into Travis Stevens's Girl on the Third Floor and is in development on a number of other projects, including a WWII thriller with Stigma Films and Fields Park Media.
