Bryce McLaughlin was born in small town Port Alberni located on Vancouver Island. His father was a Middle School principal and worked for the cities family guidance association. In 1994 he moved to Vancouver to train as an actor the Vancouver Film School. While he pursued acting, he would moonlight as a waiter in various restaurant's around Vancouver. He started writing and producing films to create work for himself as an actor which eventually led him to directing. A versatile writer, he writes a variety of different genres.
