Bárbara Lombardo
Barbara Lombardo, born and raised in Palermo, Buenos Aires, Argentina, studied acting at the Julio Chavez Theater School in Buenos Aires.
She began her career playing the role of "Vanina" on the television series "Resistiré". The show broke records and was a huge hit with a strong fan base. From there she had lead roles in series like : "Socias" and "Mujeres Asesinas".
Barbara went on to play "Pochi", a series lead and huge fan favorite on "El Puntero" which has been ranked as one of Argentina's most successful series to date.
Other television credits include : "History Of A Clan" and the comedies "The Rich Do Not Ask Permission", "The Roldan" and "You Are My Man".
In Mexico, she joined the cast of series like "XY La Magazine" and the second season of "Soy Tu Fan" where she performed speaking with a neutral accent in Spanish.
On the feature side, She starred as "Cristina Quadri / Sofia Lombardi" in "Captive" for which she was nominated for the Silver Condor - Best New Actress award from the Argentinian Film Critics Association. The story centered on young woman ("Cristina") who is told she is not who she thinks she is and is actually the missing daughter of activists who disappeared in 70's Argentina. This film earned multiple international award nominations including a win at the San Sebastián Festival.
Additional film credits include: "The Mugger", "El Hombre Que Corría Tras El Viento", "2001 Mientras Kubrick Estaba En El Espacio".
In 2020, she starred as "Manuela" in the feature film "Manuela" filmed on location in Los Angeles, CA.
