Ferdinand Gernandt
Ferdinand has been part of the SA entertainment industry for over 15 years and has evolved from being a sought after Vocalist and Performer to a respected and accomplished Choreographer, Writer, Director and Producer.
Ferdinand recently produced, wrote, directed and choreographed the Smash Hit Musical "Reik Na Die Sterre" which was nominated for 7 Naledi Awards.
He has also been seen on the small screen in varied featured parts in "Villa Rosa", "Isidingo", "7de Laan" & "Scandal" His most recent theatre accolade was playing the role of Electra in the Roller Skating Musical "Starlight Express" His other theatre credits include 'Chicago - the musical', 'We Will Rock You' and the John Travolta character Tony Manero in 'Saturday Night Fever'
Ferdinand is proud to have been part of 'Skouspel' as stage director and the Hartiwood film 'Pretville' as choreographer and although the 'off-stage' & 'on-stage' world of entertainment has embraced his unique skill set, Ferdinand also strives to inspire and motivate through annual youth development projects like the "Broadway Performance Showcase Experience" which is an initiative to create a sound platform for our young artists in South Africa providing a safe environment to uplift and transform our culture.
Ferdinand is always on the lookout for new tasks and challenges. He loves searching for a better product, a better team, a better life or a better world. He believes in making a decision, taking action, to look at the result and then learn. He is always on the lookout for the positive in a situation, celebrates every achievement and loves making everything more exciting and vital.
It is good to be alive, work can be fun, and no matter the setbacks, he'll never lose his faith in the possibilities of the human experience.
