Freya Callaghan
Freya, a dual citizen of Australia and Ireland was born and raised in Brisbane, where her passion for all things creative began at a tender age. Dancing, Singing, Musical Theatre and piano have all played an important part in Freya's development. Working with industry professionals on both features and short films has been a great privilege and allowed Freya the opportunity to reflect on how hard work and dedication have lead to opportunities of growth. Recently Freya worked alongside Anna Paquin and Josh Lawson in True Spirit as Young Emily Watson, she has starred as Young Fiona in Gordon Frosts production of Shrek the Musical and as Young Corsette in the QLD Conservatoriums production of Les Miserable. Freya has been cast in many lead roles in short films including character of Vee Metzger in Wendy&Vee working with Andrew Condor and Jean-Baptiste Canac. Whilst naturally talented Freya continues to explore all aspects of acting by participating in stunt works, attending acting courses, checking in with her mentors and always being ready for new opportunities. On set Freya is noted for her pleasant and helpful demeanor, she is professional, hardworking and willing to give anything a go. In her spare time she loves to dabble on her piano, has a love for the beach being a Surf Life Patroller on the Gold Coast, she also is part of The Duke of Edinburgh Scheme where she learns new skills, gets to go on big adventures and gives back to society through service opportunities.
