Harley Chamandy

In 2017, Chamandy was the youngest participant invited to the Black Factory Cinema Workshop hosted by Werner Herzog and the EICTV (International School of Cinema and Television) in San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba. In 2018, Chamandy worked with cinematographer Stephanie Weber Biron--previous titles include Xavier Dolan's I Killed My Mother and Guy Maddin's The Forbidden Room--to realize The Final Act of Joey Jumbler, a dramatic short film, which screened at Newport Beach Film Festival 2018; Academy Award Qualifying Bermuda International Film Festival 2018; New Filmmakers LA Canadian Spotlight 2018 sponsored by Telefilm and the 69th Montecatini Short Film Festival 2018. Chamandy's latest short film The Maids Will Come on Monday--featuring performances from Britton Sear (Boy Erased) and Anana Rydvald (Arrival)--screened at the Manchester Film Festival 2020.
