Hod Lipson

Dr. Lipson is a professor of Engineering and Data Science at Columbia University in New York. He is the co-author of the books "Fabricated: The New World of 3D printing" and "Driverless: Intelligent Cars and the Road Ahead". His work focuses on self-aware and self-replicating robots. Dr. Lipson received his PhD in 1999 from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. He did postdoc work at both Brandeis University and MIT. Before joining the staff at Columbia, he worked at Cornell. Dr. Lipson is a pioneer in open-sourced 3D printing, as well as electronics 3D printing, bio-printing and food printing. Dr. Lipson has authored over 300 articles and is frequent keynote speaker.
