Howard is an award-winning writer, and director, who most recently, directed and produced "Mile 19", which is available nationwide on Amazon Prime. Currently in Post - Production for "Mama and Kenn" and "Confessions with Jeff Brown". He also wrote the hit Musical Dramady "Melody from Heaven: A Christmas Story" which is currently in Pre-Production with an All-star Cast of RnB Singers. "I take what I dream, and turn them into movies..." Howard J. Clay, Jr. is an award-winning screenwriter who is currently residing in Los Angeles. Writing is truly his passion. After having much success in 2006, his screenwriting career was delayed until 2018, but he never gave up. Within those 12 years, Howard has lived an amazing and interesting life which has provided him with a variety of experiences. These experiences assist in making him a great writer with great stories and layered characters. "The best storytellers are the people who have lived, and I've truly lived." Before pursuing screenwriting full-time, Howard was the Founder and Publisher for the nationally distributed magazine, B.O.S.S. Magazine, the premier educational and entrepreneurial resource magazine for minority young adults. Immediately after signing on with an Agent, Howard moved to Los Angeles to pursue his film career. He started working in writing rooms for industry executives, wrote movie scripts for indie producers, and accepted writing assignments sent to him by his agent. During this time, Howard decided to write, direct, and produce his first collection of short films: three thrillers entitled, "Laundry Room", "Bedside Conversation," and "The Package". "The Package" went on to win several festival awards. After that success, Howard was ready to film his debut feature. With Covid -19 looming, an ultra-low budget, and a limited crew, Howard persevered and filmed "Mile 19"; a feature thriller/mystery. "Mile 19" is exclusively on Amazon Prime.
