Hunter McCracken
Hunter McCracken joined a limited and interesting group of non-professional actors whose first acting gig came on the hands of the great Terrence Malick and his masterpieces, along with Linda Manz in the acclaimed Days of Heaven (1978) and Q'orianka Kilcher in The New World (2005). All of them have in common was the fact of sharing scenes with great talents and they carried the films overshadowing the leading and more famous thespians. Hunter's role in The Tree of Life (2011) brought him recognition around the world while playing the tormented Young Jack, the young version of Sean Penn's character in the epic film.
The newcomer was almost the film lead, with moments and sequences that were unforgettable due to his strong, melancholic and multifaceted expressions. A true natural actor, he was discovered in a Texas school and beat more than 10000 candidates. Initially, he was cast in a minor role but during tests with Jessica Chastain and Brad Pitt the chemistry was fully visible and he landed the complex role that would mark his career. He received praise from audiences, some award nominations as breakthrough actor and won the Online Film & Television Association as Best Youth Performer.
Yeras have passed and still no sight of him on the screen since he's still in school years but he's sure that he wants to pursue an acting career and develop his great potential.
