Lauren Elizabeth Hood
Lauren Elizabeth Hood, a member of the Producers Guild of America, IATSE Local 871, Directors Guild of America, ASCAP and owner of her own production companies, is known for her love of feature films, and the production office. She travels around the world filming in countries such as South Africa and Thailand, and has filmed all around the United States including Puerto Rico, Oklahoma, Florida, Alabama, and New York to name a few states. She has successfully received film tax incentives from those states who offer them. She is most known for working on the Sharknado franchise, and with companies such as Syfy, Lifetime, BET, Amazon, Sony, Fuze, TV One, etc. on television and theatrical features.
Lauren comes from a world of music, singing from an incredibly young age. She graduated from Belmont University in Nashville, TN in 2007, with a Bachelor's degree in the Entertainment Business, while she also enjoyed working with many large scale music festivals and concerts like the Grammy's and MTV Music Awards. She then received an Associate's degree in film while concentrating on producing.
She's excelled in several invite only extracurricular programs such as Belmont West 2007 (Belmont's Los Angeles Prestigious Internship Program) and LA's American Pavilion 2010. She also earned certificates in Entrepreneurship from Gateway College in 2002 and in Film Producing from the UCLA TFT Professional Program in 2011.
Lauren enjoys the pursuit of great scripts that can be molded into extraordinary feature films, while providing vocals for original songs for media content.
