Laurence Anthony
Toronto born and globally raised, Laurence Anthony credits all of his success to his single mother and grandparents. An actor, author, creator and playwright, Laurence studied under the training of legendary acting coach, Anthony Abeson. Discovered at age 20 in Toronto after winning a spoken word poetry contest, Laurence pursued TV and Film immediately.
Having studied Radio and TV Arts at Canada's illustrious Ryerson University, Laurence has been seen in various national and international commercials and TV appearances. Laurence has worked for productions based in the UK, US, Canada and Brazil. His first leading role in a Hollywood feature film was playing 'Detective Rogers' in SAW 3D. His TV credits include: 30 Rock, Degrassi: The Next Generation and more.
His author credits include, "The Lido Deck," published in the best-selling book, LAID: Young People's Experiences With Sex. He also penned the Canadian national play, "Toast."
After a hiatus while mourning the death of his grandmother, Laurence returned to the entertainment world with a number of hosting projects and created the 2020 upcoming talk show: Late Night in Harlem.
Known for his infectious smile and deep voice, Laurence spends much of his time between NY and his native Toronto.
