Layne Herrin
Born in Mississippi, Layne Herrin, a charismatic and solid performer became an actor in the way he was brought up by five different fathers. He learned early on to play, adapt and survive through incredible odds and circumstances. His first father was a con man, the perfect foundation for an up-and-coming actor. The second was a poker dealer who taught him an unfractured poker face and ultimate focus and concentration on everything he would later accomplish. The Third was a mechanic which propelled Layne into stunts which he would later do in films. The fourth was in construction , inspiring Layne to build and maneuver his later career, and the fifth was in the Marine special forces. That gave Layne ultimate survival skills.
Layne had a tough upbringing. After living in Mississippi for eight years, he was raised by all these fathers in Atlanta. All this under the guidance of a very special mother who, through it all, nurtured and gave him, love and drive to make the ultimate move to Los Angles to become a professional actor.
Layne contemplated joining the armed forces, but discovered, through all he had learned as a child, that what he really wanted to do was to become an actor. Layne moved to Los Angles and embarked on the competitive journey.
The world of commercials quickly discovered Layne, as he started shooting one after the other, but his acting skills needed to be perfected and getting an agent was at the top of the list. After being interviewed by several agencies, he chose Pierre Patrick and his destiny began.
Being trained by the best became a priority; he studied and graduated with high honors from the renowned Joanne Barron/DW Brown studio, giving him the tools he needed to accomplish his goals.
He immediately booked a role on the award-winning RED LIGHT starring Brain Krauss and Ted Rami, followed by THE OUTSIDER working alongside Sean Patrick Flannery, Danny Trejo and Trace Adkins.
Layne is currently being considered for several exciting projects that are in the works. He has also been seen attending television academy award events including the Golden Globes.
Layne's tumultuous and constantly changing childhood game him ammunition to become one of the most exciting and promising actors of this generation.
