Laëtitia EÏDO is a French Film-TV and Stage actress and artist, starring in the worldwide successful NETFLIX tv-series 'Fauda (2015)' and is best known for her leading role of Dr. Shirin. Having already played in 8 languages, she's also holder of a BA in 'Architecture' and a MA from the Sorbonne university in 'Theatrical writing'. Laëtitia is a 4 times Best Actress Award winner for her title role of historical Kabyle resistance fighter in 'Fadhma N'Soumer' by B. Hadjadj (2016) and for her part in FAUDA (2020). She's one of the leads of the new APPLE tv-series 'Liaison' alongside Eva Green and Vincent Cassel. She will be seen on the big screen on Terrence Malick's new movie 'The Way of the Wind'. Born from a French father and a Lebanese mother, her ambiguous ethnicity allows her to interpret different nationalities and she works both on French and international productions.
She has been called a 'standout actress' and 'the beating heart of 'Fauda (2015)'s series' (Deadline Hollywood), 'with a physical similarity to the young Meryl Streep and the same tendency to steal all her scenes' (Jerusalem Post) and a 'vibrant actress who subtly embodies the female main character' in FemininBio magazine which featured her as a 2020 September cover story.
Her latest work includes lead parts in 'Entre deux trains (2019)' by Pierre Filmon, with Pierre Rochefort ; in French Tv-series 'L'Absente' alongside Th. de Montalembert ('Call my agent') for France2 ; in 'Holy Air (2017)' feature film by Sh.Srour (which opened in New-York's TriBeCa's Official Competition and won the Fipresci Film Critics award in Jerusalem). Her performance in this movie was proclaimed 'fiercely funny' (Epeak) and 'sensual' (Cinemed 2017).
She's also starred recently in ''Les choses humaines (2021)' feature film by Yvan Attal ; 'Connemara (2022)' by Isild le Besco ; 'La menace' by Ph. Le Guay ; 'Un homme heureux' by T.Seguela ; and in Tv-Series such as 'Prise au piège (2019)' for M6 and 'Yes I Do (2017)' for CANAL+.
She is known in the United States for her roles in the American HBO-Cinemax Tv-series 'Strike Back (2010)' ; the films 'Tel Aviv on Fire (2018)' by Sameh Zoabi ; 'Dancing Arabs (2014)' (aka) 'A borrowed identity' by Eran Riklis ; 'The Land of Nothing' by Amine Kouider (with the Maharishi University MA in Films, run by David Lynch) and 'Aleppo (2019)' by A. Grippa.
First trained in classical acting techniques in Paris, she attended workshops with Peter BROOK's or Jacques LECOQ's theatre companies. She then studied in depth S.MEISNER acting technique, in Paris and New-York. She was a 'Talent' Alumna at Berlin Film Festival (2015) and a Jury Member in prestigious festivals like Jerusalem, Oran, 'Cannes Series' (2020) and for the 'Queer Palm' award at Cannes Film Festival (2017).
