Lucio Tavares
Lucio Tavares is a Brazilian Diretor, acting since 2003 and working full time at TV Globo since august 2012. From 2003 to 2008 he lived in Paris-France, where he graduated and attended to a Master in Cinéma et Audiovisual at Iniversité Sorbenne Nouvelle-Paris 3. In parallel with his studies he also acted as AD in several short and long features productions.
From 2005 to 2008 he worked as Director, Producer and TV Writer on several productions for the Globosat channels (Multishow, GNT, SpoTV and OFF), among which the following stands out: "Viagem Sem Fim" (Direction and Teleplay) e "Casa Bonita" (Direction and Teleplay), "Bicicletas & Melancias" (Direction), "É Carnaval 2012 - Blocos do Rio" (Direction), "Corrida do Cristo" (Direction) and "Vai pra Onde/França" (Teleplay and Production). In the meantime, in 2008, he was invited to work on the theatrical musical project "Clandestinos" (Executive Production), directed by João Falcão. Finally, he also acted in the Direction in live events such as "Vert Jam", "Oi Mega Rampa" e "Brasil Surf Pro", as well as in many institutional vídeos and advertising.
At the end of 2012, he started his career in TV Globo's Dramaturgy Department as Assistant Director, working on several products. In 2019, he became the Program Director, signing the co-direction of the Globoplay series "Aruanas" and the 6 pm soap opera "Órfãos da Terra" (production that received the 2020 International Emmy Award, among other prizes). In 2021 he join the directors team of Globoplay's second season series "Desalma" which premiered in April 2022.
