Luis Mercado
Luis was born & raised in Palm Springs CA, to Teresa & Francisco Mercado. He began acting at an early age of 8 years old doing Stand Up Comedy. Impersonating everyone from Jim Carrey, to Chris Tucker. Although he was involved in Theater throughout middle school & high school, it was really martial arts that was Luis' first calling. Practicing sports such as Karate, Boxing, Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai & wrestling (which led him to his college career). After high school, Luis went on to wrestle for Palomar College, where he served as team captain and led his team into a 2007 California State Championship title. After College Luis ran into a Hollywood manager who encouraged him to start his acting career. His first month in Los Angeles he booked a National Commercial for Amtrak and he had all the confidence he needed to pursue his career in the film industry. A year later he would book his first National TV show "Major Crimes" where he acted along side Raymond Cruz.
Luis Mercado resides in Los Angeles where he continues acting and training martial arts under Sean Patrick Flannery at Hollywood Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
