Luke Sage
Luke Sage is a native Southwest Virginian Actor and Entertainer. He first fell in love with acting in second grade with The Atkins Children's Theater production of Annie Jr. From that day on he was hooked. After his first play production, Luke performed in several magic tricks where he made his brother disappear and sawing him in half. He continued his acting career through middle school at the Barter Theater Youth Academy.
Luke performed in high school in some big named roles. Most notably, Silva Viccaro and Jake Meigan (27 Wagons Full of Cotton), CC Showers (The Diviners), Stage Manager (Our Town), and Harry (Mamma Mia). While in high school, Luke attended the University of Virginia's College at Wise Governors School for Theater and the Radford University State Governors School for Theater. High school was where Luke was first introduced to the world of film. He was an extra in the Avett Brothers music video "Ain't No Man" as well as an extra in proof of concept of "P-27."
Before he moved into and attended his first semester of college, Luke landed his first professional stage and film role. First, the stage production of "Alice in Wonderland" with the traveling theater company, Shreds and Patches Theater Project. Then, in June of 2019 Luke filmed his first supporting role of Jason in "Cross Purposes."
From there Luke attended the University of Virginia's College at Wise to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater. During his college career, Luke was in various professional theater and film productions. Some credits include Cap Hatfield in The Appalachian Center for the Arts' production of "Sally McCoy," and Bobby in CPP's Feature Film "Found." Some of Luke's most notable college credits were: Teach (American Buffalo), Stanley (A Streetcar Named Desire), Yelana (Uncle Vanya), and Judge Turpin (Sweeney Todd).
Royal Ashes was Luke's first lead in a feature film as Paul Royal. Synopsis: "Nineteen-year-old Paul Royal is trapped in a life he didn't ask for. When his mother falls to addiction, he must choose between pursuing his own dreams and keeping his abandoned siblings together." Upon seeing the premier of the movie at the Legacy Theater, Luke felt at home. He felt that he belonged on the big screen.
