Maceo Smedley
Maceo Smedley was born on February 7, 2007 in Houston,TX. During the summer of 2012, at the tender age of five, Maceo signed with Pastorini Bosby Talent, and booked his first national commercial in October that same year. Shortly thereafter, Maceo became a very familiar face appearing in commercials locally and nationwide.
In 2015 Maceo caught the eye of casting directors for WGN America's Underground where he worked alongside Jurnee Smollett-Bell and Aldis Hodge. His a recurring role as a young slave named James was on of a kind, telling the story of life as a pre-civil war child in slavery. Underground was directed by Anthony Hemingway and received 16 award nominations.
Maceo went on to play young Tyrone in Marvel's Cloak and Dagger. In this role he plays the younger version of lead Aubry Joseph and tells the story of how the hero acquired his power.
Then Maceo went on to film a family comedy starring alongside Joseph Simmons (Rev Run) and his wife Justine as their youngest son Deavon Washington on Netflix's All About the Washington's.
In addition, Maceo plays a young boy Alex who is eager for Christmas in Disney's feature film Noelle playing alongside Anna Kendrick.
