Magdalena Sverlander

Magdalena Sverlander is a Swedish actress who trained at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London. Magdalena is starring in the lead role as Emma in the new Scandinavian drama thriller by Film in Dalarna and Stratos Cinema, (2023). She played the role of Valentina in the Jason Bourne spin off TV Series Treadstone (Amazon Prime/USA Network) and starring in BAFTA & BFI Network's sci-fi drama Downtime (Storm Features), in the role of XYA (2021). She received a Best Actor nomination for the lead role as the abused android XYA in Downtime, at Women X Film Festival, (UK), September 2021. In 2018 she landed the lead role of Theresa Stenmark in the second season of the Nordic TV Series The Crown Witness [Kroongetuige], ordered by RTL Network, (Strix Television). She received recognition and two Best Actor nominations for her portrayal of the young torn mother Tindra Diaz in the Scandinavian short film When Tears Have Fallen inspired by the short story El Pagador De Lágrimas by Laia Falcón Díaz-Aguado. When Tears Have Fallen originally premiered at Gothenburg International Film Festival and went on to receive over twenty Official Selections and a dozen awards worldwide.
