Mpho was born and raised in Soweto in the township of Orlando West Gardens. The last of three boys born to his parents who ran a small hardware store for most of his life. Mpho started acting and drama as extramural activity at Risidale Primary School and later took it up as a subject in High School. His passion for acting took a back seat to his IT career that he pursued for 10 years until he ran into an audition for a horror movie called Hell Trip which re-ignited the flame.He is also playing small cameo and extra roles on series and short stories in Mzansi.
