Pablo Martín Alonso
Pablo Martín Alonso was born in Hermisende (Zamora) in 1952. Since leaving the academy, in 1975, he went through different destinations in territorial units of the armed institute. He also spent several years in the Guardia Civil Traffic Association. Between May 1994 and June 1996, he served in the Government Delegation for the National Drug Plan of the Ministry of Interior. In June 1996 he was appointed advisor to the Secretary of State for Security in the field of terrorism. From August 2003 to September 2004, he was added by the Guardia Civil at the Spanish Embassy in Paris. Then as General of the Guardia Civil, he retired after 46 years of service. He was head of the Information Services of the Guardia Civil between 2004 and 2012, the decisive section that led to the police defeat of ETA.
