Pacharo Mzembe
Pacharo Mzembe is an Australian based actor specialising in Theatre, Film & Television. He is a proud alumni of the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) accepted at the age of seventeen. He briefly suspended his acting career in the summer of 2012 to embark on a staggering run across Australia titled the Run Of Awareness. The run was founded by Pacharo to highlight the inequality of educational opportunities for disadvantaged youths in Australia & around the world. Although Pacharo started out in theatre, he has appeared in numerous motion television and movie roles which include Paramount Pictures "Monster Problems", Channel Nine's "Here Come the Habib's", ABC's "Harrow " & SBS's "Safe Harbour". His theatrical highlights include the portrayal of Dr Martin Luther King Jr in the award winning "The Mountaintop" and adrenaline pumping "Prize Fighter" wherein he was awarded a "Green Room Award" & nominated for the "Sydney Theatre" & "Helpmann Awards" for his portrayal of an ex-child solider turned boxing contender. Pacharo originates from Malawi, a small country located in the South East of Africa but was born in Zimbabwe. He migrated to Australia at the age of six to the sunshine state of Queensland. Outside of acting Pacharo is extremely passionate about youth empowerment, filmmaking and encouraging individuals to "Be Unafraid".
