Paolo Bernardini
Paolo Bernardini is an Italian actor born in Belgium. After his first acting experiences in the theatre, he made his on-screen debut in 1999 with Martin Scorsese's film Gangs of New York. This single experience was enough to convince him to pursue an acting career. He graduated from the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in 2005, and soon began working in television and cinema, taking on roles in Italian as well as international projects. Over the years, Bernardini has been directed by a variety of notable filmmakers, including Ridley Scott, Peter Greenaway, Mike Figgis, Roberto Faenza, Liliana Cavani, Marco Martini and Marco Simon Puccioni.
Multilingual, Bernardini is a native speaker of French and Italian and also has an excellent knowledge of the English language. This has enabled him to work professionally in Italy, France, the United Kingdom and the United States throughout his career.
Passionate about music from an early age, Bernardini is also a musician and singer and is currently working on his first album, which is being produced in Italy.
