Patrice Covington
Emmy Award winning and Grammy award nominated Patrice Covington has been seen all over the globe with all-star Broadway casts and with her original music. Most recently she starred as Roz in the World Premiere of The Heart of Rock and Roll, a broadway bound new musical set to the hits of Rock and Roll superstar Huey Lewis. Patrice also played the role of Squeak in the 2015 Tony, Emmy and Grammy award winning The Color Purple Revival. Patrice has also shined in Berry Gordy's Motown The Musical as Martha Reeves, as herself in the Broadway National Tour of Ain't Misbahvin' for which she received her first Grammy nomination, as Effie in the Broadway National Tour of Dreamgirls and The Book of Mormon. Patrice released a self-titled EP in 2011. Since then her dynamic presence has been seen both speaking and teaching on stages in the Brazil, Bahamas, Japan, France, Turkey, Germany, Italy, France, Israel and in Switzerland's renowned SEAT Music Session. Her single "Life Feels Good Right Now" and music video was featured on several international television networks. Patrice is currently a background singer for Oscar and Grammy winner Jennifer Hudson and has previously sang background for Ledisi, Sam Smith, and more. She is the voice of numerous radio and television commercials and jingles! She is the creator of The Galaxy Method, aspiring artists teaching series. Patrice is currently organizing her latest purpose project The Galaxy Project, a music therapy program for incarcerated youth to heal and enhance their mental health.
