Patrice Evra
Patrice Evra is a former Manchester United, Juventus and France footballer who is heralded as one of the best full-backs of his generation. He was born on 15 May 1981 in Bakar, Senegal. He moved to the Île-de-France region of France when he was just a year old. During his youth he played for various clubs in the Parisian region before having a short stint in Italy with Marsala and Monza. After a year Evra returned to France to play for Nice and shortly after he moved to rivals, AS Monaco.Evra got his first taste of silverware by winning the Coupe de la Ligue in 2003.By 2004, he was Didier Deschamps' first choice left-back in a team which made the UEFA Champions League final. Evra was also awarded the Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year award and included in the division's Team of the Year.Having impressed in France, he made the switch to the Premier League to join Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester United. This is where Evra really started to make a name for himself, going onto win five Premier League titles, three League Cups, one UEFA Champions League, one FIFA Club World Cup and four Community Shields. He also won multiple personal accolades during his time at Manchester United, being named PFA Team of the Year on three separate occasions, Evra was also named in the FIFPro World XI and UEFA Team of the Year in the 2008-2009 season.During his time at Manchester United he fast became a fan favorite with his loud and charismatic personality - he has also become known for his vibrant, stand-out Instagram videos. He personified Manchester United's winning team ethic playing along side players such as Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo, Carlos Tevez and Rio Ferdinand. With 273 appearances for the club he cemented himself as a recent club legend before moving onto Serie A giants, Juventus.The transition from one winning team to another was seamless. In his first season for Juventus he went on to win a domestic double and followed that up in his second campaign by helping the Turin club secure a second domestic treble and the Supercoppa Italiana.Patrice Evra also had short term contracts with French club Marseille and east London side, West Ham.Evra also has vast experience on the International stage making 81 appearances for the French national side. He participated in five major tournaments; the 2008, 2012 and 2016 UEFA European Championships (runners-up) and the 2010 & 2014 World Cups.Patrice Evra also owns clothing brand with his famous slogan, 'I Love This Game!'.
