Patrick Houtermans
23/08/2019 Born in Heerlen, (Limburg) The Netherlands, but grew up in- and around Venlo in the same Provence. Patrick was introduced to various types of music, performing arts and diverse cultures as a child. He participated in many school plays, ironically twice as a dwarf (Patrick is 2.04 meters / 6ft 7" tall) and later performed in a couple of plays (Shakespeare's Orsino in "Twelfth Night" and Caliban in "The Tempest") during high school and various smaller roles in plays during his education as a youth worker. Patrick played in various bands as a bassist and in two bands as a guitarist. He was most of the times the biggest contributor to writing the music and often also the lyrics for the bands. All bands were in the rock genre, but ranging from hardcore punk to death metal. In 1999 he moved to the UK, first to Reading (Berkshire) and then to North Devon. He continued his musical escapades in several bands, both as a bassist and guitarist, but more melodic styled rock music. Patrick performed in a couple of panto's (The giant in a modern, version of Jack & The Beanstalk located in North Devon) and participated in a few amateur theatre plays. He performed as an "extra" in a couple of television shows (Holby City, The Bill & Hollyoaks) but the scenes he was in, were cut out of the viewing. In 2018 he performed in the horror movie "Doll Cemetery" by the cult director Steven Smith. The movie is to be released in 2019. Patrick speaks 5 languages fluently (Limburgisch, Dutch, English, Flemish & German), has some knowledge of another 5 (Italian, Spanish, French, Bulgarian, Lithuanian) and can read about 80% of Danish, Norwegian, Icelandic and Swedish. He has one daughter who lives with her mother. His daughter is enrolled in a performing arts academy.
