Pier-Gabriel Lajoie was born in Cowansville in Montérégie in Quebec. He grew up playing hockey before discovering theater in high school and later studied at the Conservatoire Lassalle in Montreal. His first television role was in 30 Lives, a Canadian soap opera about the teachers and pupils at a high school. His first film role was playing Lake in Bruce LaBruce's Gerontophilia. He also works as a model.
