Po-lin Chi
Once a public servant, CHI Po-lin served as an aerial photographer in the Taiwan Area National Expressway Engineering Bureau (TANEEB). In his spare time, he devoted himself to record digital aerial images of Taiwan's environment.
Following Typhoon Morakot's catastrophic rampage through Taiwan in 2009, he gave up his government job and founded a full-time production team (Taiwan Aerial Imaging, Inc.) dedicated solely to create the Taiwan's first aerial photography documentary, "Beyond Beauty: Taiwan from Above".
He was killed in a helicopter accident during the filming of a full-length sequel to "Beyond Beauty".
