Preach Bassey
Preach Bassey is a motivated, committed and talented actor with strong performance instincts and extensive formal training. Born and raised in Nigeria, along the shorelines and beauty of Oron in Akwa Ibom State. He went on to Malaysia where he made a high mark in the modeling industry while studying at Lim Kok Wing University Of Creative Technology in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Preach is a perfectionist who possesses a solid work ethic which compels him to keep tweaking an acting part until both he, his directors and colleagues are fully satisfied with his performance. Preach is committed to achieving the highest standard of performance and is always willing to listen and learn from others.
In the past he has worked alongside renowned figures in both studio and independent film company setups. Since then he has played roles in landmark movies across Africa like '76' a film which was selected to premiere at the Toronto International film Festival (tiff) in September, 2016 and at the BFI London Film Festival, 4th Republic; a political drama that has earned rave reviews from critics nationally and internationally, Hot Cash, My Name is Kadi, Thick Skinned etc. Preach has been enjoying a recurrent role as "MAX" in an MNET hit series Halita, his portrayal of "Amaju" in another popular Mnet series Riona has received rave reviews from viewers and critics alike, Last Tango In Abuja currently streaming on YouTube. He is energetic, prepared to 'go the extra mile' and is sure to make a real difference to any project he is involved in.
