Preetisheel Singh D'souza

Preetisheel Singh D'Souza is a professional makeup, hair & prosthetic artist, and character designer. She has been working in Bollywood, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam film industries for over a decade now. She was born on August 31, 1983 in Pathankot, Punjab in India. She graduated from Punjab College of Engineering & Technology in Chandigarh with a degree in Electrical engineering. After working for 5 years as an engineer, she decided to follow her passion for makeup & makeovers and joined Cinema Makeup School in Los Angeles to learn prosthetic makeup. Preetisheel co-founded 'Da MakeUp Lab' - a hair, makeup, and prosthetics company in Mumbai with her partner Mark D'Souza. Her first solo project was 'Nanak Shah Fakir (2015)' for which she won a National Award in the year 2016. She has also worked for films like 'Haider (2014)' for which she was awarded at the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards in 2015. In 2018, she received an award for 'Best make-up' at the Bollywood Film Journalists Awards for the film 'Rangoon (2017)'. Preetisheel has worked in renowned films like Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmaavat (2018)' and 'Bajirao Mastani (2015)' alongside other hits like 'Chhichhore (2019)'; 'Housefull 4 (2019)', 'Bala (2019)', 'Mom (2017)', 'Andhadhun (2018)', 'Thackeray (2019)', 'Talvar (2015)', 'Ghayal Once Again (2016)', '102 Not Out (2018)', 'Bhavesh Joshi Superhero (2018)', 'Mulk (2018)', 'Romeo Akbar Walter (2019)', 'PM Narendra Modi (2019)', 'Bharat (2019)', 'Malaal (2019)', 'Ujda Chaman (2019)' , 'Raat Akeli Hai (2020)', amongst others. Her work in the Tamil film industry includes 'Bigil (2019)', Joseph Vijay's 'Master (2021)' alongside 'Soorarai Pottru (2020)', 'Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan (2017)', 'Boomerang (2019)', 'Kaappaan (2019)' and also Surya's '24 (2016)'. Preetisheel has worked as a make-up & hair and prosthetics artist for TVCs of prominent brands like Kurkure, Flipkart, Asian paints, BMW, Savlon, Royal Stag, Ambuja cement, Dr. Aquaguard, MakeMyTrip, Lux inferno, JSW steels, Livguard inverter, and recent MPL (gaming app). She has worked for music videos for Anushka Manchanda's 'Ayo Burn' and 'Don't be afraid'. Her upcoming projects in the web series include 'Cartel'. Some of her upcoming works in Bollywood are Akshay Kumar starrer 'Bachchan Pandey (2022)' and 'Ram Setu (2022)', Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Gangubai Kathiawadi (2022)' and YRFs 'Bunty Aur Babli 2 (2021)'. In Telugu cinema, her upcoming projects include, Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa: The Rise-Part 1 (2021)' alongside other movies like 'Thank You (2022)' and 'Shyam Singha Roy (2021)'. In Tamil cinema, her next project includes 'Cobra (2022)', starring Vikram.
