As a 2012 Non-Equity Jeff Award Nominee for Best Principle Actor, a 2012 Black Theatre Alliance Award Winner for The Denzel Washington Award for Most Promising Actor and a 2012 BroadwayWorld Chicago Award Winner for Best Actor, Preston Tate Jr., has made a name for himself in the Chicago industry. He has been active for several years with work in film, television and theatre. He has managed to garner local attention with his award-winning performance of Superior Donuts during the course of it's three runs and also appearing on popular television shows such as "Empire" and "Chicago Fire".
