Adi Chugh is an international film, TV, theatre and VO actor based in London, England. He was born in a small town in India, called Bhilai, to Davinder Kumar Chugh, a manager in a steel production company, and Rekha Verma, a middle school teacher. His mother is from Raipur, India and his father is from Delhi, India, and are both of Punjabi descent. He is the brother of Tuhina Chugh who also lives in London. Shortly after being born, Adi and his family moved to New Delhi. After the age of seven, they further moved to countries like Germany, South Africa, the United States, United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates. His respect for the stage began as a seven-year-old when he moved to Germany and realized it was the only place where he wouldn't be bullied for his accent. His playfulness worked to his advantage and the stage became a regular playground. His interest grew stronger in high school in Johannesburg, South Africa, through drama classes and extracurricular theatre groups. While at Penn State University, USA, Adi dabbled in acting marginally although remained too preoccupied by his major of Economics & Finance but the five years following his graduation became pivotal to his career change when he started further developing his craft through community theatre, dance and acting workshops while still working at Citi Bank, NYC and Accenture Strategy, New Delhi. To fine-tune his craft even further, Adi trained classically at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, UK and now works globally in an array of mediums and languages, including Hindi, German and English, which he speaks fluently.
