Began his professional career as a stand up comic in the Seattle area in the mid '80s, though was acting in Seattle theater since a child. He got his proverbial 'big break' in 1990 as a stand up on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. An HBO special followed as well as a two year deal for his own show at Fox television, which did not produce a series. While at Fox he wrote and starred in several short films for the TV show The Sunday Comics (1991) which led to a starring role in the film Baby's Day Out (1994). Several other movies followed including Little Giants (1994) where he played overzealous father Mike Hammersmith (aka Spike's Dad), the presidents secret service agent Mitch in Mars Attacks! (1996) and muscular dope Christie in McHale's Navy (1997). During the 1995 Super Bowl he was in a popular Miller Lite beer commercial where he played hard luck quarterback Elmer Bruker, the man who was on every winning Super Bowl team, but never played. In 1996 he replaced Lowell the mechanic (played by Thomas Haden Church on the NBC series Wings (1990) and in 1999 he played bartender Tom Vanderhulst on the short lived CBS series Maggie Winters (1998) with Faith Ford. He has also played more serious rolls, including playing a detective in both Martin Scorsese's The Departed (2006) and the Cohen brothers film The Man Who Wasn't There (2001). He lives in New York and has a production company Sky Blue House Productions.
Brian Hall was born and raised in Roanoke Va. He was the son of Dennis and Sandra Hall. His father was an accounting manager for a huge parts company. His mother runs a daycare business. He attended William Byrd Highschool. While attending he wrestled, played football, and trained in martial arts. After serving in the Navy during the Persian Gulf War and getting an associate's degree from ECPI, he started acting. In 2007 he packed up his Nissan Sentra and headed for Los Angeles with a few grand in his pocket. Since then he has appeared in many films, Deceit. 2010's Moby Dick, Wedding Day, DarkTourist, Lost Revolution, and the series Slaphouse.

Brian graduated, at the age of 18, from Gonzaga College High School in 1996 and went on to pursue a degree in Economics and History from Cornell, graduating in 2000. Brian Hallisay began his career in show business by appearing in The Inside (2005) episode, The Inside: Aidan (2005), playing "Jake Carrington", with Rachel Nichols and Adam Baldwin. He was next seen as "Dr. George Harmon" on the Lifetime network's series, Strong Medicine (2000), in the episode, Strong Medicine: Chief Complaints (2005). In 2006, he was given a role in the Kevin Rodney Sullivan-directed TV movie, A.K.A. (2006), a crime drama which also starred John Leguizamo. Hallisay made his feature film debut in the comedy, Bottoms Up (2006), where he portrayed "Hayden Field", alongside Jason Mewes, David Keith and Paris Hilton. This was followed by a series of television appearances. He was in Jerry Bruckheimer's Without a Trace (2002) as "Alex Stark", Meredith Stiehm's Cold Case (2003) and CSI: NY (2004) opposite Gary Sinise. He was also given a guest spot in the drama series, Bones (2005), which stars Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz. His next project became Bionic Woman (2007), where he played "Dr. Mark Stevens" for the 2007 episode, Bionic Woman: Faceoff (2007). In 2008, he was given the role of "Ryan Haas" in Medium (2005), an NBC drama series starring Patricia Arquette. Hallisay was then approached to play the role of the wealthy and charming bachelor "Will Davis" in The CW's Privileged (2008). Will Davis is the potential love interest of the lead character, the smart and endearing "Megan Smith", played by JoAnna Garcia Swisher. After "Privileged" was canceled, he went on to another television series, The Client List (2011), starring Jennifer Love Hewitt, where he played her ex-husband. In real life, he and Hewitt became engaged in 2013.
