Fabiola Calixte, actress, producer, writer, journalist, host, model, dancer, and the list goes on, has been honing her craft since she was very young dancing in the home of her Caribbean parents. Her family lived in the Laurelton area of Queens, New York. Her mother and father, always the celebrants, promoted festivities with family and friends, and encouraged Fabiola to dance and express her creativity at their frequent soirées. Because of her West Indian heritage, Fabiola grew up hearing French and Creole and learned to speak, read, and write these languages fluently, along of course, with her native language English making her trilingual. Growing up in this environment, a love and respect for music blossomed early in Fabiola, especially Hip-Hop, given that several legends such as LL Cool J, Run of Run DMC, and Pepa of Salt-n-Pepa lived in her neighborhood. Understanding her daughter's destiny to make her mark as an entertainer, Fabiola's mom exposed her to a wide variety of classes including tap, ballet, dance, singing, and piano. In the late eighties, Fabiola's family moved to Orlando, Florida; here, Fabiola was often approached by modeling and talent agents asking if she was in the business. Although Fabiola was only 10 years old, her mother continued her training and enrolled her in acting school at Barbizon Talent Agency and modeling school at John Casablanca's Modeling Agency. Fabiola took her instruction seriously, and aggressively worked at perfecting her acting and modeling skills. This hard work paid off; when she was thirteen years old, she made her debut as a model for J.C. Penney and this spawned years of lucrative modeling job opportunities. Fabiola's parents were strong advocates of education, and stressed its importance to their children; therefore, after graduating high school, Fabiola went on to complete her B.A. in Mass Media Arts (Mass Communications), with a concentration in Radio, TV and Film at Clark Atlanta University finishing with a GPA of 3.5. Always very ambitious and motivated, while pursuing her degree, Fabiola continued to model and became a sought-after music video model/dancer. She is featured in countless music videos with Grammy-Award winning greats such as: Outkast, Patti LaBelle, T.I., R. Kelly, Timbaland, Lil Jon, and Cee Lo Green just to name a few. As if school and modeling were not enough, Fabiola worked part-time in corporate America and simultaneously interned for music mogul, Jermaine Dupri at So So Def Recordings. During summer break, she also interned under CEO/Music Executive, Henry "Noonie" Lee at Atlanta-based, Noontime Music, a songwriting and production company. While living in Atlanta, Fabiola was given her first serious acting role in the spiritually-based gospel stage play, "The Show: You Don't Tell, I Won't Tell." She co-starred alongside Gary "Lil G" Jenkins of American R&B group, Silk. This is when she rediscovered her passion for acting and it ignited her move to Los Angeles, California. Since moving to L.A., she has starred in several national television commercials with major advertisers such as: Motorola, Toyota, and Georgia Power. Fabiola has also appeared in several hit television series including CSI-NY and Tyler Perry's House of Payne. In 2011, Fabiola produced and starred in the movie "Anathema - Short Film", a dramatic piece which showcases the emotional intensity and range of Fabiola's ability as an actress. Following this, her charismatic and conversational charm was in the spotlight as a Red Carpet Correspondent at the 2011 BET Awards. In 2011, she also starred in the romantic comedy - "An Urban Love Story: The Way We Met." In 2012, she co-starred with Reggie Gaskins, and was the executive producer of the movie titled "The Debt". This movie went on to be selected in the Pan African Film Festival (PAFF), the Black Hollywood Education and Resource Center (BHERC), and the Culver City Film Festival. Fabiola is fearless when it comes to tackling different opportunities in the entertainment industry. Her excellence and professionalism in modeling set the stage for a unique opportunity with J'Adore Magazine. In this prestigious magazine, she is featured as its Dorothy Dandridge cover model appearing in conjunction with its feature story about Dandridge. She also stepped into behind-the-scenes roles as first assistant director and script supervisor in the film, "Reply or Delete an Internet Love Affair", and was a voice-over talent for radio commercial spots heard on Atlanta's Sports Station 680 The Fan. On the business side of entertainment, she has several years of experience as a talent manager, talent booking agent, and an accountant at Innersound Entertainment, Inc., home for renowned studio mixing engineers, Dave Pensado & Jaycen Joshua of The Penua Project. Fabiola's multifaceted artistry keeps her moving onward and upward. She looks ahead with anticipation, understanding she has what is necessary to distinguish herself as an actress in the twenty-first century. Her strong belief in God is reflective in the commitment she has to her church and support of its drama ministry.
