Luke McGibney was born in London Hackney but shortly moved to Dublin, Ireland while his parents fixed up their first home purchased by his grandfather George McGibney. He was educated at Elmbridge Boarding School a public boarding school situated in Ongar, Fyfield Essex with a reputation for military boarders. During his time he excelled in sports and writing, often writing and performing comedy plays for the school. Luke McGibney started acting late in life and auditioned for a number of acting schools and was accepted by The Oxford School Of Drama. Under George Peck the founder and Robert Fried his method acting coach and previous tutor at the Drama Centre.
