Born in Singapore to ex-pat parents, Laura lived in three different countries by the age of eight. Upon returning the U.S., her family settled in Seattle, where she joined a youth Shakespeare company. Theater was a mainstay as the years went on. A meeting with casting director Nancy Foy triggered a move to Los Angeles. Film and television roles followed, with Judd Apatow's Superbad being the first.
