Malachi Nimmons Jr. is an actor, comedian, and improvisor who was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He began acting as a child, but stopped at the age of six and did not perform on stage or onscreen until his early twenties. In 2006, he enrolled in the Professional Actors Training Program at Chattanooga State Technical College, and completed the program in 2008. He Tried his hand at stand up comedy that same year, entering "Chattanooga's funniest human" contest,placing 3rd. He moved to Los Angeles a year later to pursue comedy, but moved back to Tennessee when he lost everything in an apartment fire in 2010. In November of 2011, he received an offer to audition for Chicago City Limits, New York's longest running comedy revue.
