Monica was born and bought up in India to an army family and completed her education at Delhi University graduating from Miranda House, before joining the fashion industry as a designer and fashion coordinator. This was her first foray in the world of creativity and she created and designed outfits for export to fashion industries around the world. Monica then moved to London at a young age of 23, where she did PGCE from University of Greenwich and started her career as a school teacher, where she continued to hone her skills as an artist through teaching art, drama and organizing all other creative school events. Monica used her extensive travel and cultural experience from around the world for inspiration and continued to evolve as an artist before moving yet once again to Singapore. In Singapore, Monica set up her own art company, Piku Arts and started her career as a professional painter. Monica has sold several paintings and is well known in the Singapore art circuit. Not satisfied with just a career in painting, Monica entered into the amateur theatre scene and event management in Singapore, promoting and introducing Indian artists and shows to Singapore. It is here that Monica came to the notice of a producer and director, who signed her up for her debut film, Wishlist. Monica now is a co-producer and an actor who is performing in other Indian productions. Monica continues to paint and organize events, demonstrating her passion and interest for all forms of art and culture. Monica is married with one son.

Monica Angrand was born in New York City. At five years old, she and her mother left New York for Little Rock, Arkansas. As a teenager, she attended Stagedoor Manor performing arts summer camp, where she studied jazz dance and theater, and continued her dance studies at Little Rock's Parkview Arts and Science Magnet High School. After high school, she moved to Memphis, Tennessee where she studied acting with the late Red West before moving to Los Angeles, California to pursue acting full time. She expanded her studies in voice and body with Arthur Lessac in Santa Monica, California to aid with dialect, accent reduction, and body wisdom; while earning an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts, Theater, and Photography from Santa Monica College. While attending a film screening at Los Angeles Filmforum, she met filmmaker Mike Kuchar and shortly after, acted in her first film with the legendary director. She performed in the film Midnight Suite, which was screened at a Los Angeles Filmforum Kuchar brothers event, and also the film Fallen Angels, which debuted at The Tate Modern in London during a retrospective of both Mike Kuchar and his brother George Kuchar's work. She recently moved to Cape Town, South Africa, where she is creating an experimental film and photographic series dealing with place, family, and the universality of the American Dream.
