Polly Bond was born in Houston, Texas on July 20th, 1928. She was the daughter of William E. Goebel, an executive for Howard Hughes, and Norine Goebel, Concert Pianist and Businesswoman. Polly started in show-business in 1944 at the age of 11, performing with her sister, Maryellen Sennett, as a western singing act called "The Darling Sisters". Polly performed during World War II with the USO visiting hospitals, and army bases all over the western Untied States. Polly had the first late night television show in Los Angeles on CBS in 1948. She then started in her own show with her sister called "The Rangeriders" on KTTV in Los Angeles in 1949, in the "Then" fledgling television industry. Polly also was a charter member of the new "TVA" union which would become "AFTRA". She also was the co-founder, and entertainment spokesperson along with her sister Maryellen for the Hollywood "Toys For Tots" drive in Los Angeles. Polly married in 1953 to "Little Rascals" star,Tommy Bond and then retired from acting. Tommy and Polly had one child 'Thomas R. Bond II' who is President of the film production company 'American Mutoscope & Biograph Co. [us]' . Recently, her sister Maryellen passed away in 2004, followed by her husband, Tommy Bond in 2005, they were married 54 years. Polly is a Vice President of her son's film company, and worked behind the scenes on the film Bob's Night Out (2004). Bond died of medical care negligence and was admitted for a stroke. She was in re-hab when she died. There is an ongoing investigation.
