Raja Mukherjee

Raja Mukherjee was born Indranath Mukherjee in the city of Kolkata, in state West Bengal, in India in 1972 to father Late Mr Jatileswar Mukherjee, a famous singer song writer and music teacher of West Bengal and mother Mrs Sabita Mukherjee. Raja was a given nick name by his friends and family. Raja Mukherjee was the founder member of the first Bengali Rock Band of Kolkata, West Bengal, India and was a drummer and rhythm programmer who was part of the first Bangla Band revolution in the year 1989 at the age of 17. Raja left for the UK for studies after completing graduation in Kolkata in 1993. He settled down in the UK and became a British citizen in 2002. He married his present wife Pia Mukherjee (Pia Janniel Chipper), an Australian Bio Medical scientist and had his son Aakash James Mukherjee in 2006. Raja Mukherjee became a businessman in the UK but never forgot his roots. He built SS Audio Visual post production company in Kolkata in 2015. He joined production company Roadshow Films in Kolkata in 2016 and produced 3 Feluda web films for Addatimes, where he also took up the role of Executive Producer, but later resigned in 2018 and created Moving Pictures Production to continue his own line of work in the film industry ranging from AD films, CSR videos, Product Videos, Web Series, short films and Feature Films. He works in the UK as well in India as Writer, Producer, Director and Composer. He appears in cameo roles in his directorial debut The Nightwatchman - initiation streaming on Hoichoi Tv.
