Rachel Rath was born in Dublin and was raised in a town called Gorey, County Wexford in the south-east of Ireland. She is the eldest of five children. She attended boarding school with the Poor Servants of the Holy Mother of God in Castledermot, County Kildare, Ireland. From there she moved to London, then Scotland and back to Dublin where she stayed and honed her craft experimenting with theatre and film. She predominantly acts and also writes and directs. Her films, writing and photography have garnered her praise. Currently she lives in Los Angeles working on several film projects and volunteers her time to the LA Irish Film Festival.
