Adam Southwick
Adam David Southwick is a British actor, producer and musician, born in R.A.F. Wegberg, West Germany, and raised in the suburbs of Chester, just on the border of England and Wales. He was born on July 17th 1981, to parents David Southwick and Georgina Southwick. His father was an officer in the Royal Air Force.
As a young child Adam took an interest in both music and acting. He tried his hand at learning to play several musical instruments at school, before opting for drums as his preferred choice and joining the schools performing music group. He also tried to get involved in as many drama activities as he could, and his talents were recognised early on. At the age of 7 years old, Adam was described as "A born actor down to his toes..." in a school report from his class teacher, and at the age of 12 Adam was cast in the leading role as a young Dylan Thomas, in a production of "A Child's Christmas in Wales".
After high school, Adam went on to study a BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts, which led to performances at the Wrexham Studio Theatre, including one which he wrote and co-directed called "What About Music"; a musical-comedy about the music industry. A BA (Hons) university degree in Performance Studies followed afterwards.
After graduating from university in 2002, Adam joined British heavy metal band 'Ritual of Hate'; a band who were later signed to Anticulture Records, and good things were predicted for the band. However, while in the studio recording the first album, two band members decided to leave to explore new projects outside of music, leaving Adam and the remaining members of R.o.H to continue under a new guise, forming death-metal act 'Isaiah'. Isaiah went on to perform at the 2005 Bulldog Bash festival, and a music video for the bands song "Scarred Redemption" was filmed by Purple Media. Adam left Isaiah in late 2005, returning for a brief stint with the band in 2006 before forming British metal act 'Sycorax'. Sycorax performed together at multiple venues across England and Wales between 2006 and 2011, and also independently released a 6-track E.P. entitled "The Hunger" during this time. In late 2011 the band members amicably went their separate ways to pursue new projects. Adam relocated north to Chester again and also appeared in his first film; Gene Fallaize's Superman: Requiem.
In 2012 Adam linked-up with North-West based metal band 'Arkelon' and began working with them on new material, and in 2013 he joined the band as their new permanent drummer. In September 2013 Adam teamed up again with Cupsogue Pictures when he joined the Production Crew for The Woods of Daemar, and in November 2013 Adam was also added to the cast and crew of [error]Dark Ascension[/link] (2017).
Adam has since worked regularly for Cupsogue Pictures, gaining his first Producer credit for Contact Lost (2015); a Gene Fallaize directed short film, and in 2016 he gained his first feature-length Producer credit for Taking Care of Business, working once again with Gene Fallaize and Tony Cook. He joined Cupsogue Pictures as Head of Physical Production in November 2016, following successful roles on Cain Hill (2017) as both Executive Producer and Production Manager.
